Véronique Schyns has 10+ years board-level experience in financial and strategic communications, in global, complex businesses and publicly-listed entities in the international food and drinks and financial services industries. She has worked at the head offices of Heineken N.V., ABN AMRO N.V., Rabobank International and Robeco Group and delivers communications advice and tactics; strategy, management and execution.

Expert areas: Corporate Communications, Financial Communications, Media Relations, Spokespersonship, Marketing PR, Brand PR, Marketing Communications, Pro-active Media Campaigns, Messaging, Media Training, Issues and Crisis Communications, Social media and Blogging.

Her expertise in Global Financial Communications covers the area where Investor Relations meets Corporate Communications. She has a deep understanding of how to fully benefit from joint efforts between Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and Marketing and how to effectively manage owned, earned and paid content on multiple channels and platforms, including social media.

After graduation from the University of Utrecht, she worked in several commercial roles as account manager, translator and marketing communications consultant during 10 years. Since 2000, she has been a spokesperson at ABN AMRO, Rabobank International and Heineken N.V. At Heineken N.V. she grew her role, first into Head of Global Media Relations and then to Financial & Corporate Media Manager. She further broadened her management and communication skills as SVP Corporate Communications Robeco Group.

Véronique has a broad international experience with PR agencies, media and management on all continents. Her scope and interests always have been global, European and multicultural.

Between 1977 and 1991 Véronique enjoyed a semi professional tennis education, played many national and international tennis tournaments and received a scholarship to play tennis in the U.S.A. Her tennis education forms the roots for the drive and passion she has for making every communications project a success today.

Véronique has a degree in Spanish Literature & Language (1991), which is comparable with a Master’s degree. She speaks six languages, including Dutch (mother tongue), English (near native), Spanish (advanced), Italian (moderate), German (moderate) and French (moderate).
