Hi, I'm Véronique Schyns.


I specialise in helping companies increase their deal and shareholder value by strategically strengthening their positioning and communication.


Many companies lose value long before negotiations begin, because investors, buyers or other stakeholders never fully understood their strategic value. I invest in sharpening a commercial story, improve positioning and brand value so that after acquisition, value does not immediately disappear due to poor communication and integration. My commercial analysis, feedback and advice enable organizations to optimize their stakeholder relations, marketing and communication strategies, mitigating reputational risks, converting growth opportunities into strong results. My ability to coach CEOs, founders and boards, ensures they are equipped with the skills and confidence needed to excel. It is this combined expertise that I bring to the table, which is a cost-efficient approach.


In addition, I support financial communications agencies and companies looking for investor relations support, preparing for an Initial Public Offering, Capital Markets Day, Non Deal Roadshows, Annual General meetings and Annual Report process. I also  offer temporary in-house support, setting up the investor relations and / or financial media relations function and hold training sessions.


I am an experienced professional with expertise in investor relations, marketing and global corporate and financial communications (including as a chief spokesperson). Most recently, I was Head of Investor Relations at ASA International Group plc in Amsterdam and London. Before that, I held several senior roles with amongst others The Heineken Group, Robeco Group, Hill & Knowlton, Rabobank and ABN AMRO. I have broad expertise across sectors and especially in financial services (e.g. banks, asset management, microfinance, private equity) and FMCG.


I am passionate and committed to sharing my knowledge with entrepreneurs in Spanish America. Through my work at PUM, a Dutch NGO I am advising SMEs in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. I have a Master's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the Universtity of Utrecht and travelled to a large number of countries in Central and South America.
