Training, Workshops & Mentoring

I offer several training sessions and workshops: for CEOs, members of the leadership team, assistants to the CEO and junior communication professionals.

Interview training

Together with you, the CEO or member of the leadership team, we discuss the development of a customised session, tailored to your needs.

In this interview training, we will discuss the whole process starting at the interview request or pitch, to monitoring the result and follow-up. We will discuss the challenges in between and zoom in on where you have questions and are the least comfortable so that you will go to your next interview with total confidence. This training is about understanding the importance to tailor your story to your target audience and the techniques to deliver your story.

Depending on the exact challenges, this could be a half a day session in your office or a more in-depth full day training in a studio with on camera exercises.

Messaging

If your challenges as a CEO and / or members of the leadership team are to sharpen your narrative and message delivery to investors and / or the media, the focus of this session is on helping you to succeed in telling your companies’ strategic narrative correctly. As an independent advisor, with knowledge of how investors and financial media listen to your stories and observe your body language, I am passionate to guide you through your narrative with an outside in approach, suggesting improvements to clarify complex or general messages and challenge you to proof your points. We will also touch on non verbal communication and practice techniques how to stay ‘on message’.

The result will be that you will have a better understanding of how to be well prepared for your future meetings, being with a journalist or an investor.

Depending on the exact challenges, this could be a session of half a day in your office or a more in-depth full day training in a studio with on camera exercises.

Investor Relations

Investors are not journalists. They have a different mindset. As you are looking for funding or preparing for an IPO, we will discuss the differences and similarities between investors and the media, and focus specifically on the mindset of investors and analysts, key rules of engagement and relationship building, after which we zoom in on specific IR related challenges, such as, how to handle non-public information, financial questions, discuss transparency, the process and communication of the Investment Case, Outlook and consistency and alignment of key messages. We also discuss the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR): What is inside information and what is the process for public disclosure and other best practices.

You will learn from an experienced investor relations and financial media expert, who will share her experience and energy with you. Depending on the exact challenges, this could be a session of between 2 and 4 hours.

Clarifying your market position before growth

Until now your company received new clients via word of mouth. You decided it is now time to change to a more pro-active strategy and there are many questions to answer, such as which type of clients do you want to focus on and why, what makes your company different and how do you best articulate, via which channels, etc. In this workshop we go through different stages to find and list your company’s values, mission, vision and Unique Selling Proposition for a specific client base.

In part two, we will determine your key messages and proofpoints, relevant for your clients and in part three and four we create unique storylines and a communication strategy.

At the end of this workshop, you will have the marketing and communication strategy to face the next growth fase.

Although this workshop is designed to deliver 4 sessions and a final marketing and communication strategy, it could be customised for your specific needs.

Mentoring

As an assistant to the CEO, or junior communication professional, you are in regular contact with journalists or might be in the near future. You might also be in charge of managing the annual report and have other communication challenges. In order to best serve your CEO, it would be helpful or even required to invest in understanding a journalist mindset, the do’s and don’ts, learn basic skills how to manage spokesperson tasks, how to manage a PR agency or other external suppliers. Depending on your experience and tailored to your needs, I can help you feel more comfortable in your work.

We can take this to a more professional level for you as a way of development training, or stay within your current needs. At your pace, you will learn from an experienced and passionate spokesperson and communications expert. I will share my experience and energy with you, helping you through all the stages, from the basics to messaging and storytelling, preparing for issues and avoiding a crisis situation.

Depending on the exact challenges, we could schedule regular onsite and / or online sessions.
